Posture is the position of the body while standing, sitting and lying down. With the advancements in technology, the daily use of smart phones and computers have become an integral part of our lives. Unfortunately, this causes our bodies to get into that hunched over position, with the shoulders and upper back rounded forward and head/neck straight down. In addition, prolonged sitting has been contributing to muscle tightness, fatigue and hip imbalances. This type of poor posture is not sustainable and can lead to negative health effects.
Chiropractic can help improve and maintain posture by a proper spinal examination and X-ray evaluation (if necessary). An individual plan will then be prescribed, including spinal adjustments, at home strengthening exercises and spinal remodeling program.
