Lower Back Pain

The back is one of the more complex parts of your body. It is composed of the spine, disks, tendons, muscles and ligaments, any of which can become injured or strained, resulting in back pain. Lower back pain can have a number of causes including: sports injuries, improper lifting, arthritis, postural imbalances, prolonged standing/sitting and stress.

Neck Pain

Some of the most common contributors to neck pain include improper lifting techniques, trauma to the spine, poor postural habits, frequent cellular texting, working on a computer and osteoarthritis. Common symptoms include generalized stiffness, achiness, numbness and tingling in the hands, shooting pain in the arms, and pressure headaches.

Upper Back Pain

Because the upper back is very stable and has little motion, this area generally doesn’t tend to develop degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, or disc herniations like the lower back does. Though, it’s not as common as lower back pain, upper back pain can be very painful. It can arise as a result of trauma or sudden injury, or it can be caused by poor posture or strain over time.

Posture Correction

Chiropractic can help improve and maintain posture by a proper spinal examination and X-ray evaluation (if necessary). An individual plan will then be prescribed, including spinal adjustments, at home strengthening exercises and spinal remodeling program.

Migraine Headaches

Chiropractic care can be a great way to conservatively manage, diagnose and relieve pain caused by migraines and tension headaches. Routine chiropractic care provides patients suffering from migraines and tension headaches with a safe, drug-less gentle treatment approach.

Slipped Disc

A slipped, or herniated disc, can occur in any part of your spine, though it is more common in the lumbar region. Between each of the spine’s vertebrae is a small rubbery disc that acts as a cushion, absorbing stress on the spine. The disc has a soft center with a tougher exterior. A slipped disc occurs when some of the softer material leaks out through a crack in harder coating.

Pinched Nerve

Your nervous system connects your brain and spinal column to the rest of your body and is responsible for transmitting messages throughout. A pinched nerve occurs when there is pressure on a nerve caused by repetitive motions, holding your body in one position for a long time and traumatic injury. The earlier you get diagnosed, the soon you’ll get relief.

Athletic Performance

An essential part of living an active lifestyle is recovery. Without the proper recovery, your exercises may be causing more harm than good and may ultimately lead to injuries. Without the proper spinal alignment, the bodies soft tissue becomes guarded, leading to muscle spasms, improper gait patterns, restricted ranges of motion, joint pain etc.

Shoulder & Hip Pain

A chiropractor can help detect improper lifting techniques, shoulder, hip and gait imbalances, muscle weaknesses and overuse patterns. After a thorough evaluation, the chiropractor can use this information to form a specific care plan to treat, rehab and maintain proper joint health.
